'Claude for Teachers' Launches, Free for US Educators Through June 2027
Anthropic has unveiled “Claude for Teachers,” a dedicated plan for K-12 educators in the United States. Paired with materials aligned to learning standards across all 50 states, it brings Claude’s premium features to the classroom.

- Lesson planning: Build lessons around high-quality materials tied to state learning standards
- Personalization for students: Create personalized materials for students at different proficiency levels
- Data analysis: Analyze class learning data and apply the insights to teaching strategy
- Automating routine tasks: Schedule recurring tasks such as “check exit tickets every day”
- Integrated tools: Integrates with nine education tools: ASSISTments, Brisk Teaching, Canva Education, Coteach, Diffit, Eedi, MagicSchool, Snorkl, and TeachFX
- Training: An “AI Fluency” training program co-developed with Teach for America and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) is also available
- Privacy: Data is not used for model training, and terms of use compliant with FERPA were developed with guidance from the AFT
How to try it
- Available only to verified K-12 educators in the US (must be 18 or older, per Claude’s age requirements)
- Sign up by June 30, 2027 for completely free access for one year
- Dedicated plans for schools and districts are planned for the future
