Lovable Adds WhatsApp Business and Power BI Connectors Plus New GPT Image 2.5 Models
Lovable’s September 15, 2026 changelog adds two new business-tool connectors and brings OpenAI’s newest image models into the app, widening what builders can wire into a Lovable project without custom code.
Details
- WhatsApp Business integration: Lovable apps can now connect to WhatsApp Business to receive and manage customer messages, send templated notifications, and track delivery status — aimed at support and appointment-reminder use cases
- Power BI connector: apps can query Power BI semantic models using DAX, letting teams surface metrics inside their app that match numbers from official company reports, with per-user access support for individual sign-ins
- GPT Image 2.5 models: two new OpenAI image models are now available — GPT Image 2.5 Flare for quick previews and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst for higher-quality final assets — both supporting transparent PNG/WebP output
- Skip behavior changed: skipping one of Lovable’s clarifying questions now only continues with defaults for the original request, instead of also approving additional suggested work
- Workspace training toggle removed: the workspace-level “use workspace content for model training” setting was removed, since Business and Enterprise plan data is already excluded from training by default
What happened next
The WhatsApp and Power BI connectors extend Lovable’s reach further into business operations and reporting workflows beyond its usual web-app and database use cases, while the GPT Image 2.5 rollout keeps Lovable’s built-in image generation aligned with OpenAI’s latest release. Combined with the skip-behavior fix, the update leans toward making Lovable’s defaults less surprising for builders working across support, analytics, and design tasks in the same project.
