Perplexity Announces "Personal Computer" to Fully Automate Your Mac
Perplexity has announced “Personal Computer,” which extends its cloud-based orchestration feature “Computer” all the way to a user’s local machine. It automatically carries out tasks across local files, native apps, and web services.

- What it can do: Organize local files, cross-reference local data with online information, take voice commands, and run continuous task automation across email, messaging, and various apps
- How it works: Ask it to “read my to-do list,” and it will actually go and complete the items on it
- How to operate it: Launch it via a keyboard shortcut on Mac, or with voice commands inside native apps like Notes
- Availability: Currently limited to Perplexity Max subscribers. A waitlist is available as the rollout expands
