Cursor Launches "Cursor Start," a New India-Priced Plan With Grok 4.5 and Composer
Cursor has announced Cursor Start, a new locally-priced plan for developers in India. Sitting between the Free and Pro tiers, it costs ₹649/month (tax inclusive) and provides access to Grok 4.5 and Composer, along with long-requested UPI payment support.
Details
- Pricing: ₹649/month, tax inclusive. Billed monthly in INR via UPI, credit card, or debit card
- What’s included: Access to Grok 4.5 (Cursor’s most powerful model) and Composer (a cost-efficient coding model); more agent requests than the Free plan across desktop, web, iOS, and CLI; always-on cloud agents for long-running tasks such as testing and pull request generation; mobile control via Cursor for iOS; and workflow extensibility through plugins, MCP servers, hooks, and skills
- Plan positioning: Sits between the Free plan (limited features, no cost) and Pro (full access to all models, Bugbot, Auto mode, Automations, and Cursor SDK), aimed at “everyday building” needs
- Background: India is Cursor’s third-largest market with more than 3 million developers, and reportedly has more power users than any other market in terms of agent requests per developer. The new plan responds to long-standing requests for local-currency pricing and UPI support
