Replit Acquires Atta, Launches Interactive Charts in Replit Chat
Replit has acquired Atta, a San Francisco company that builds tools for business analysis and charting. Replit says the aim is to let the people closest to a business problem explore data, explain what they find, and act on it without a separate set of technical tools. Interactive charts in Replit chat, the first feature from the combined team, are available now.
Details
- Who Atta is: a San Francisco startup founded by Omar Shaik and Amine Ben Khalifa, focused on business analysis and charts built for that purpose.
- What ships now: interactive charts in Replit chat. Users open a conversation, upload a dataset or connect a data source, then ask a question or tell Replit Agent to “visualize this” or build a specific chart.
- Investigation without SQL: Replit runs the queries and analysis steps that show where performance changed and which segments drove the change. The user interprets the results and decides what to do.
- Automatic chart selection: Replit picks a chart type to fit the data and the question. Replit gives waterfall charts for revenue changes and heatmaps for retention patterns as examples.
- Presentation-ready output: Atta’s charting system makes interactive, on-brand charts whose labels, spacing, and layout adjust when they are resized.
- Longer-term plan: the work ties into Replit’s “self-driving company” vision. Investigations could become recurring routines, findings could be turned into slides for leadership reviews, and insights could shape the next product, campaign, or internal tool.
- Not disclosed: deal price or structure, team size, customer numbers, and any pricing or plan limits for the chart feature. The post was updated on October 4, 2026.
What happened next
The deal moves Replit beyond app building into everyday data analysis, which overlaps with BI tools and with the data-analysis modes in ChatGPT and Claude. It also follows Replit’s September 10 Databricks integration with native Lakebase support, so Replit now covers more of the path from connecting a data source to producing analysis that people can share. Replit has not yet said whether Atta’s technology will extend to scheduled reports or to dashboards inside the apps people build on Replit.
