Kunlun Tech Releases Reasoning Model "Tiangong 4.0" (Skywork o1 / 4o) for Free
Kunlun Tech announced the official free release of the o1 and 4o versions of its large language model “Tiangong 4.0” on the Tiangong website and app. This opened up to general users a model that had been in invitation-only testing the previous month.

- Skywork o1: Described as China’s first o1-class model with Chinese-language logical reasoning capability, handling a wide range of reasoning tasks including math, coding, logic, common sense, and ethical judgment. Released simultaneously in both an open-source version and a higher-performance dedicated version
- Skywork 4o: The multimodal model powering the real-time voice assistant “Skyo,” delivering natural conversation with emotional expression, fast responses, and multilingual switching
- Technical updates: A major overhaul including optimization of the process reward model (PRM), improvements to the reasoning system based on the Q* algorithm, and the introduction of a proprietary Step-DAPO algorithm
