Anysphere released “1.0,” the official version of Cursor. It’s a milestone release that brings together the capabilities built up so far — “Bugbot,” which automatically reviews pull requests; “Background Agent,” now open to all users; and “Memories,” which remembers conversation content on a per-project basis.

Details

  • Bugbot: A feature that automatically reviews pull requests to detect potential bugs and issues
  • Background Agent: The background-running agent feature, previously limited to some users, is now open to everyone. Accessible via the cloud icon in the chat box or Cmd/Ctrl+E
  • Jupyter notebook support: Agents can now create and edit multiple cells directly within a Jupyter notebook (initially supported only with the Sonnet model)
  • Memories (beta): A feature that retains project-specific conversation content as facts. Enabled via Rules in settings
  • Other additions: One-click MCP server setup (with OAuth support), rendering support for Mermaid diagrams and Markdown tables, and a redesigned dashboard and settings screens
